Bath Township Fire Department Responds to Mobile Home Fire
Bath Township Fire Department responded to a 9-1-1 report of a mobile home on fire at 1503 Findlay Road, Lot #17, Lima, Ohio, in Bath Township at 6:42 P.M.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a small fire in the laundry room of the trailer home, and it was quickly extinguished.
The mobile home is owned by Nancy Gross who was home at the time of the fire and was able to escape with no injuries. Ms. Gross advised fire department officials that she was alerted by her smoke alarms.
Chief Joseph Kitchen estimates the damage to Lot #17 to be $2,500 to the structure and $2,500 to the contents.
No fire department personnel were injured. Lima Fire Department and Perry Twp. EMS assisted at the scene of the fire.
The cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical issue related to the washer/dryer.
Firefighters were on the scene for about one hour.
